Enrolment & Withdrawal Terms and Conditions
Enrolment Terms
Programs are designed for the full year of sequential activities, and it is assumed that enrolment is for the full year ie. 4 public school terms.
To activate enrolment, all students must have completed NECOM’s enrolment form.
Invoices will be sent to account holders approximately 2 weeks prior to the commencement of each term.
Notification to withdraw or defer lessons must be made in writing with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice to admin@necom.org.au
Failure to do so will incur a charge at the cost of the student’s normal lesson, for each week not notified.
Term invoices will be automatically sent unless a formal withdrawal has been received with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice period.
It is the responsibility of the Account Holder (parent/guardian/student) to notify the NECOM office of any changes to their contact details.
Lesson Attendance Policy, Late Commencements, Missed Lessons & Refunds
New students who enrol after the commencement of the term may be entitled to a pro-rata reduction in tuition fees.
A minimum of 48 hours notice must be provided to the teacher if the student cannot attend a lesson so that an alternative time can be negotiated. This includes lessons delivered at school that may be missed due to school activities (eg. Carnivals, excursions, vacations) or other events.
Students who miss a lesson with less than 48 hours notice or without notice will not be offered a makeup lesson and are not eligible for a refund or credit.
Two alternative lesson times will be offered for eligible makeup lesson credits. If the parent/student does not take up either of these alternative times, the makeup lessons are forfeited.
A maximum of 2 makeup lessons per term will be offered.
Makeup lessons declined will not roll over to the next term.
Makeup lessons are not available for missed shared lessons.
With sufficient notice, makeup lessons may be offered in the right circumstances for Early Childhood Classes at the discretion of the Head of Department should there be an appropriate alternative class for the child to join.
In exceptional circumstances (eg. Serious prolonged illness or accident with a medical certificate), a request for credit or a refund must be made in writing to NECOM office admin@necom.org.au
Fees are due by week 4 of each term. NECOM reserves the right to suspend or cancel enrolments if accounts remain outstanding.
For any family that has an amount outstanding on their account from a pervious term, no further lessons will be delivered by the teacher until the debt is fully paid.
Relevant NECOM policies and directions apply to parents/guardians/students. These policies may be varied at times by NECOM and up to date copies can be obtained from NECOM.
Withdrawal Policy
Notification to withdraw or defer lessons must be made in writing with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice to admin@necom.org.au
Failure to do so will incur a charge at the cost of the students’ normal lesson, for each week not notified.
A telephone call, text or casual conversation with your teacher does not constitute official written notification of your cancellation of enrolment.
